Portuguese Abstract: The number of domestic animals has been growing rapidly in the past few years in Brazil. According to IBGE, in 2013, Brazilian families owned approximately 52 million dogs and 45 million children. Along with the growth of the dog's population is the growth of its related market. Nowadays, there are several products on the market, such as collars and smart feeders, but they all work individually. This leads to an increase in the number of useful information spread across different applications, making the products look completely unrelated, even though, in reality, they share the same purpose: to help owners to take care of their pets. In order to unify and connect existing products, a dog care system called MiAU, consisting of an intelligent collar and a smart feeder and water dispenser, along with its mobile application, has been proposed, studied and designed. In addition, the project also featured the initial study of a biometric system for pawprint recognition of dogs. The complete system was designed and developed with the help of a veterinarian and a pet store. The biometric system was investigated with the help of a professor in the area of Artificial Intelligence. Table prototypes were tested and validated.
